Ordering custom parts from Tenprecision involves four steps: submitting your drawings and requirements, reviewing manufacturability and receiving a quote, approving the production plan, and completing quality inspection and shipping. This guide explains what to prepare at each stage and how we support your project.

Drawing on China’s precision manufacturing supply chain, Tenprecision provides rapid prototyping and custom manufacturing services for technology and manufacturing companies worldwide. Our capabilities include CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.

1. Submit Your Drawings and Requirements

Upload your 3D CAD models and relevant 2D engineering drawings through the Tenprecision online RFQ form, or email your files to rfq@tenprecision.com.

To help our engineering team assess your project accurately, please include:

  • Material and quantity: Material grade, whether you need prototypes or production parts, and the quantity for each part.
  • Technical requirements: Dimensional tolerances, mating and fit requirements, surface roughness, and surface finishing specifications.
  • Delivery requirements: Your target delivery date, shipping destination, and required inspection reports.

If you have not selected a material or manufacturing process, describe the part’s application, operating environment, and performance requirements for our engineering team to evaluate. Complete drawings and specifications help reduce back-and-forth communication and ensure the quote reflects your manufacturing requirements.

2. Review Manufacturability and Receive a Quote

After receiving your files, Tenprecision’s engineering team conducts a design for manufacturability (DFM) review to assess whether the part geometry, material selection, and tolerances are compatible with the proposed manufacturing process.

We identify design details that may affect cost, precision, or lead time, recommend improvements, and clarify the relevant requirements with you. Any proposed design changes require your approval before production begins.

Once the technical details are confirmed, we provide a project-specific quote outlining the manufacturing scope, price, and estimated lead time, helping you plan your budget and purchasing schedule.

3. Approve the Plan and Begin Production

Production begins after you approve the quote and manufacturing plan. Tenprecision offers the following services based on your part geometry, material, and quantity:

  • CNC machining: Rapid prototyping and custom manufacturing of metal and plastic parts.
  • Injection molding: Mold manufacturing and injection molding for plastic parts.
  • Sheet metal fabrication: Manufacturing of metal enclosures, brackets, and other sheet metal components.

During production, your dedicated project manager shares updates on key milestones and progress so you can coordinate assembly, testing, and product development.

4. Complete Quality Inspection and Global Shipping

Once production is complete, our quality control (QC) team performs dimensional and visual inspections against the approved drawings and quality requirements, and provides an outgoing quality control (OQC) report.

Parts that pass inspection are packed to protect against impact and moisture, then shipped to your designated address through international courier or logistics partners. Delivery arrangements are confirmed based on your project requirements and shipping plan.

From confirming manufacturing requirements to final inspection, every stage serves the same objective: delivering parts that meet the agreed specifications.

Start Your Custom Manufacturing Project

Whether you need prototypes to validate a design or custom parts for product manufacturing, Tenprecision can start with a drawing review to help define your manufacturing approach, cost, and lead time.

Submit your drawings to request a custom quote, or email your project files to rfq@tenprecision.com.
